[What you will be working on]

We are Digital Society Products (DSP). We build tech for public good. We turn policy goals into working software. With a strong heritage in GovTech, our team has a long history of shipping national-scale digital products.

Our portfolio includes:

  • CulturePass: Democratising access to arts and culture for all Singaporeans.

  • CrowdTaskSG: A crowdsourcing platform that empowers citizens to contribute to national policy and projects.

  • Wireless Alert Alarm System: A critical safety net deployed in seniors' homes to provide immediate aid.

Who We Are Looking For:

People's Association (PA) sits at the heart of community life in Singapore — connecting over 2,000 grassroots organisations, Community Clubs and resident networks across the island. The digital products that serve PA need to work for everyone: residents booking facilities, volunteers coordinating events, grassroots leaders managing their communities.

We are looking for a Senior UX Designer to own the end-to-end product design for PA's community platforms, including OnePA and the PA Community App. This is a full product design role — you will work from 0 to 1 to 100, taking products from initial concept through to a polished, growing, live experience used by hundreds of thousands of Singaporeans.

You are a generalist with strong product instincts. You conduct research, shape the product direction, design the interface, sweat the microinteractions, and maintain the design system — all while staying close to the metrics that tell you whether your work is actually making a difference. You are equally comfortable in a whiteboard session with a product manager and in Figma refining a component for the fourth time.

This is an individual contributor (IC) role. You will operate with significant autonomy, manage stakeholders directly, and be the design voice your squad relies on.

What You'll Do

You will own the design of PA's community products across the full product lifecycle — from discovery through launch, optimisation and growth.

Own the Full Design Arc

Lead design from 0 to 1 to 100. This means shaping the initial product concept, designing and shipping the first version, and then continuously improving the experience based on data, feedback and evolving user needs. You do not hand off and move on — you stay accountable to the outcome.

Drive Product Thinking Through Design

Bring a product mindset to every design decision. You think about retention, activation, and adoption — not just usability. You use design as a lever for growth: improving onboarding flows, reducing friction in high-drop-off moments, and creating experiences that bring users back.

Conduct Lightweight, Continuous Research

Run user interviews, usability tests and contextual checks as a regular part of your workflow. You do not wait for a dedicated research phase — you embed research into the cadence of product development to stay grounded in real user behaviour, especially across PA's diverse community demographics.

Design Across the Full Stack of UX

From user flows and information architecture to interaction design, visual design and motion — you handle it all. You produce work to a high standard of craft and detail, with particular attention to microinteractions, accessibility and the nuances that separate a polished product from a functional one.

Maintain and Evolve the Design System

Take ownership of the PA product design system. Keep components consistent, well-documented and scalable as the product grows. You balance system rigour with the pragmatism needed to move fast in a live product environment.

Manage Stakeholders and Communicate Design Decisions

Work directly with PA stakeholders — community managers, grassroots leaders, operations teams — as well as internal product and engineering partners. You present your work clearly, advocate for the user, and navigate competing priorities without losing design integrity.

Contribute to Design Culture

As a senior IC, you set the quality bar. You give constructive feedback, contribute to shared design practices within DSP, and help elevate the standard of product design across the team.

[What we are looking for]

We are looking for a designer who combines sharp product instincts with strong craft — someone who can operate independently across the full range of design work.

  • Experience: 5+ years of product design experience, with a portfolio demonstrating end-to-end ownership of a shipped, live product — from early concept through to post-launch iterations.

  • Product Thinking: A clear product mindset: you think about metrics, growth and adoption, and can articulate how your design decisions connect to product outcomes.

  • UX Research & Design: Strong UX fundamentals — user research, journey mapping, information architecture and usability — applied pragmatically within a fast-moving product team.

  • UI & Interaction Design: High-craft visual and interaction design skills, including a strong eye for typography, layout, visual hierarchy and microinteractions.

  • Design Systems: Hands-on experience owning or contributing significantly to a component-based design system.

  • Communication: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills — you can present design rationale confidently, handle pushback constructively, and build trust with non-designers.

  • Autonomy: Self-directed and comfortable with ambiguity — you can manage your own workload, set priorities and deliver independently without close supervision.

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience designing for mass-market consumer apps with diverse or non-digital-native user bases.

  • Familiarity with growth design principles: onboarding optimisation, engagement loops, notification design or A/B testing.

  • Experience working in or alongside the Singapore public sector or community organisations.

  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design for diverse demographics.

Why Join Us

  • Design for Real Communities: Design products that sit at the centre of community life in Singapore — used by residents, volunteers and grassroots leaders across every constituency.

  • End-to-End Ownership: Own the full product design experience — from the first sketch to the live product to the next iteration. This is not a handoff role.

  • Genuine Product Partnership: Work as a true product partner with Product Managers and Engineers, not as a downstream executor.

  • National-Scale Craft: Continue the legacy of national-scale products like CulturePass and CrowdTaskSG, applying that same standard to community infrastructure.
