Job Summary
As a Product Manager at GovTech, you will play a pivotal role in transforming government services through data-driven insights. You will bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions, leveraging data analytics to identify opportunities for improvement, optimize processes, and enhance decision-making across various government initiatives.
Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with various government agencies and stakeholders to understand their business processes, challenges, and data requirements.
- Translate complex business problems into clear, actionable data analytics requirements and user stories.
- Perform in-depth data analysis using various analytical tools and techniques to identify trends, patterns, and insights from large datasets.
- Develop and implement data visualization dashboards and reports to communicate key findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of digital services and initiatives using data-driven metrics and provide recommendations for optimization.
- Work closely with data engineers, data scientists, and developers to ensure the successful implementation of data solutions.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate solutions and ensure they meet business needs.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices in data analytics, business intelligence, and digital government.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of GovTech's data analytics capabilities and frameworks.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Product Manager, with a strong focus on data analytics projects.
- Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R).
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, QlikView).
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and data modeling.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in the public sector or with government digital services projects is a plus.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies is advantageous.
As a product manager, you will also have to plan and manage product budget, schedule, backlogs, vendors and stakeholders.
The job scope include
- Overall incharge of the product development

- overall incharge of managing security implementation and ensuring governance in compliance with the government and the agency's security policies and guidelines.
- overall incharge of any audits conducted on the product that include the ICT implementation and security controls, funding and procurement aspect.

- scan market for latest technology to scale the product
- liaise with product vendors/ principals including inviting suitable product vendors to demonstrate and present their product to product owners and stakeholders, plan adoption of the product after obtaining endorsement from stakeholders
- work with a team of data engineers, software engineer and sdata analysts to ensure product implementation and scaling
