[What you will be working on]
TradeNet is Singapore’s key platform that enables businesses to import, export, and move goods through one of the world’s busiest ports; facilitating 970Billion in trade value annually. It connects traders, freight forwarders, customs officers, and multiple government agencies through a single, integrated system used for permit applications and regulatory approvals.
TradeNet is undergoing modernisation to streamline workflows, improve usability, and strengthen decision-making experiences across the platform.
As a Senior UX Designer, you will lead the design of digital touchpoints across one or more product areas. You will shape how complex workflows are translated into clear, intuitive, and accessible experiences for users. You will operate with autonomy, owning moderately complex features while collaborating closely with product, engineering, and service designers to deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Own and lead the design of features and product areas across one or more products
- Shape interaction patterns, information architecture, and interface behaviours for complex workflows
- Apply UX best practices to simplify user journeys and improve usability to ensure clarity, and accessibility across the platform
- Plan and conduct user research (interviews, usability testing, concept validation) to discover problem areas, opportunities and inform design decisions
- Translate research insights into clear interaction and interface improvements
- Create wireframes, interaction flows, and high-fidelity prototypes using a variety of design tools
- Drive iterative design improvements through rapid testing and feedback cycles
- Contribute to and evolve design system to ensure consistency and scalability
- Partner closely with product, engineering, and service designers to ensure high-quality implementation
- Participate in critiques, retrospectives, and collaborative processes that strengthen team effectiveness
- Mentor designers in UX craft, research methods, and interaction design best practices
[What we are looking for]
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in UX Design, HCI, Interaction Design, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- At least 5 years of experience in UX or product design
- Proven experience designing and shipping digital products with complex workflows
- Strong interaction design and information architecture skills
- Demonstrated ability to improve usability and simplify complex systems
- Solid grounding in user research methods and usability testing
- Experience working in iterative and agile environments
- Proficiency in tools such as Figma, FigJam, and other prototyping tools
- Strong attention to detail and high standards for craft and visual quality
- Clear communication skills and ability to articulate design decisions and risks
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders
