The Product Manager is responsible for the success of a product by defining its vision and strategy. The Product Manager is accountable for the impact and outcomes, from discovery to delivery and iteration. This role requires at least 3 years of product management experience, strong analytical skills, and with proven ability to lead cross-functional and cross-directorate teams. It also demands experience managing complex digital products with significant organisational impact – shaping product vision and strategy, and driving delivery across multiple workstreams.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and communicate a clear product vision and strategy aligned with user needs and organisational goals.
- Lead user research, customer interviews, and usability testing to identify core problems and unmet needs.
- Analyse quantitative and qualitative data to guide product decisions and measure success.
- Translate product strategy into detailed requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Identify potential risks across the product lifecycle and implement measures to mitigate their impact, and maintain the risk register.
- Prioritise and maintain the product backlog to ensure the development team builds high-impact features.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, design, project management, and policy teams.
- Communicate product roadmap updates and manage expectations with senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Plan and execute product launches; monitor post-launch performance and iterate.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in product management.
- Strong analytical and product sense, with experience using data to make decisions.
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and drive alignment.
- Experience with go-to-market strategy and product lifecycle management.
- Strong technical fluency to work with engineering on technical discussions, feasibility and constraints.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
