MFA's mission is to safeguard and advance Singapore's interests through the effective formulation and implementation of foreign policies that uphold sovereignty, promote regional peace, and sustain Singapore's relevance on the world stage.
Product Managers at MFA help ensure the right things get done. At a high level, this means establishing a clear vision for digital products that support MFA's diplomatic and operational needs. On a day-to-day basis, this means coordinating across the many facets of a product to keep things moving. And at the core, this means building a deep understanding of user needs, technical constraints, and design goals — acting as a bridge between MFA's officers, engineers, and the people we serve.
What you will be working on
- Interview stakeholders and users to understand problem space and define problem statement.
- Craft proposals to justify resource allocations and secure funding.
- Create product roadmap and work with team to ensure timely achievement of goals.
- Work with designers, software engineers to develop, test and release product.
- Measure outcomes and continuously iterate product to drive outcomes.
- Engage with and support users to drive product adoption.
- Manage the product roadmap throughout stages of a product’s life cycle.
What We Are Looking For
- You should have a diploma or degree in Computer Science, Infocomm Technology, Computer or Electronics Engineering, or related disciplines, with at least 5 years of experience in product management and a proven track record of managing successful products.
- You possess strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to lead and mentor product teams. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities are essential, particularly with application in discovery sessions and prototyping. You have strong analytical, conceptualisation, and facilitation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required, with good stakeholder engagement abilities and the capacity to influence and pitch ideas effectively. You should be comfortable navigating complex organisational structures and working with diverse stakeholders including tripartite partners.
- Experience with agile methodologies and product management tools is expected. You should have working knowledge of AI tools and concepts, and familiarity with modern technology trends and their application in government services.
- You must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a driven and motivated personality. The ability to rapidly learn, apply, and execute is crucial for success in this role.
