[What you will be working on]
As a Platform Infrastructure Engineer at GovTech, you will be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure platforms that underpin critical government digital services. You will ensure high availability, performance, and efficiency of these platforms, contributing to the nation's digital transformation.
- Design, implement, and manage highly available and scalable cloud-native infrastructure platforms using IaaS, PaaS, and CaaS solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes).
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible to automate provisioning, configuration, and management of infrastructure resources.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployments, ensuring efficient and reliable release processes.
- Monitor platform performance, availability, and security, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure platform compatibility, optimize application performance, and provide infrastructure support.
- Implement and enforce security best practices and compliance standards across all infrastructure layers.
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical platform incidents.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to improve platform efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
- Document platform architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.
[What we are looking for]
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in designing, implementing, and managing large-scale infrastructure platforms, preferably in a cloud environment.
- Strong proficiency with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including their core compute, storage, networking, and security services.
- Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes).
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD principles and experience with tools like GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or Go.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Splunk).
- Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, Load Balancing, VPNs) and security best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator Associate, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect) are a plus.
