About us - Experimental Systems and Technology Lab (ESTL)
Experimental Systems and Technology Lab (ESTL) of GovTech is an engineering team within the Ministry of Education (MOE). We are made up of engineers, user experience designers and education officers. Our team aims to design and develop software applications that help MOE to transform their systems and services through digitalisation and innovation. [What you will be working on]
As a Lead Product Manager (Engineering Productivity) at ESTL, you will architect the digital foundations that enable the Ministry of Education (MOE) to realize its core mission: Moulding the future of our nation.
You will own the platforms that enable software development across MOE. Your focus is to help engineering teams ship better software with less friction and improved developer experience—while driving faster delivery, stronger consistency, and scalable, high-quality digital experiences across the organisation.
You’ll work side-by-side with a strong, mission-driven engineering team to design and evolve the platforms, tooling, and workflows that underpin how digital products are built. If you enjoy working where product, engineering, and design intersect—and where your work compounds across an entire organisation—this role gives you exactly that.
[Your responsibilities]
- Oversee a product or a group of related products, ensuring successful execution and alignment with strategic goals.
- Identify, define and prioritise the roadmap by identifying high-impact problems and selecting the most effective solutions to deliver user and business value.
- Expert for the data in your team’s products and combines this with intuition to drive product decisions.
- Driver for fostering a culture of speed, simplicity and agility in a large problem space.
- Work with people from engineering, design, product, and operations to bring your product(s) to success.
- Track product success through clear metrics, and continuously improve processes, capabilities, and ways of working within your domain.
- Manage stakeholders, resolve competing priorities, and drive alignment across teams to achieve key objectives.
- Build a culture of collaboration with the people you work with.
[What we are looking for]
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of product management, with a proven track to deliver products or platforms.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to think strategically and convert ideas into reality.
- Excellent communication skills and a desire to work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
- Proficient in product discovery activities - user research, requirement analysis, and prototyping - to validate ideas before development.
- Proficient in product lifecycle management, Agile/Scrum methodologies, stakeholder management, and roadmap planning.
