[What you will be working on]

As a Senior UX Designer supporting MSF’s Social Support Group’s (SSG) product portfolio, you will lead end-to-end user experience work across Rehabilitation and Protection. You will set the design direction, drive discovery and research and translate insights into clear, testable solutions, working in close partnership with Product Managers, engineers and business stakeholders to move products from problem to outcome.

Discovery & User Research

  • Plan and lead discovery activities (interviews, workshops, surveys, usability tests) to understand user needs and pain points

  • Conduct and oversee moderated and unmoderated research; capture evidence-based findings

  • Synthesise research into sharp insights, problem statements, and opportunity areas that directly shape product direction and prioritisation

  • Lead the analysis of research findings and communicate them persuasively to stakeholders at all levels

Interaction Design & Prototyping

  • Translate insights into user journeys, flows, information architecture, and interaction patterns

  • Produce wireframes and prototypes (low- to high-fidelity) at the right fidelity for the stage of delivery

  • Partner with Product Managers, business owners, and engineering to ensure designs are technically feasible and business-aligned

  • Demonstrated experience with UX "vibe coding" and rapid prototyping — including AI-assisted or low/no-code tools — is a strong advantage

Iteration, Quality & Outcomes

  • Iterate designs based on analytics, user feedback, and post-release findings

  • Drive design quality through clear specifications, accessibility, and pragmatic handover artefacts

  • Lead strategic design initiatives that advance portfolio outcomes — cleaner service journeys, reduced user effort, improved completion rates

What we expect from you:

Scope & Direction

  • Maintain a strategic outlook on the product, ensuring all design decisions are aligned with organisational goals and product OKRs

  • Lead key design workstreams end-to-end; make day-to-day decisions with autonomy while escalating appropriately on scope, risk, or cross-team dependencies

  • Support junior designers through constructive feedback and shared practices

Craft & Execution

  • Apply rigorous problem-solving using evidence, iteration, and testing to validate outcomes

  • Make sound trade-offs in complex situations and articulate decisions clearly using evidence

  • Use AI-assisted design tools with critical judgement

Ownership

  • Own your work end-to-end: quality of outputs, clarity of handover and proactive issue resolution

  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and outcomes within your area

Strategic Alignment

  • Align work to team goals, OKRs, and agreed priorities; adapt independently to shifting priorities while keeping the team informed

Culture & Community

  • Collaborate constructively across product, engineering and business to drive outcomes

  • Actively contribute to GovTech's & MSF’s design community by sharing knowledge, piloting new tools, and raising the bar for fellow designers

[What we are looking for]

  • At least 8 years of UX/UI design experience, ideally spanning discovery through delivery

  • End-to-end UX capability: research → synthesis → design → testing → iteration

  • Strong interaction design skills: user journeys, flows, wireframes, prototypes

  • Proficiency in Figma, Maze, and equivalent tools

  • Ability to plan and conduct interviews, workshops, surveys, and usability tests — and translate findings into actionable direction

  • Strategic thinker with a demonstrated ability to lead design initiatives, not just execute them

  • Strong communication and storytelling skills; able to present findings clearly and persuasively to senior stakeholders

  • Comfort supporting multiple products as priorities shift

  • Curious, collaborative, and outcomes-focused

  • Strong plus: Experience with rapid/AI-assisted prototyping and vibe coding approaches
