What the role is
What you will be working on
You monitor and lead a team to analyse threats to support information response plans. You also direct and coordinate the conduct of trend analyses and formulate assessments on current events and incidents. Your challenge lies in sense-making key insights from various information sources, quickly understanding ongoing developments and conversations in the information environment, and combining qualitative analyses with technical knowledge where required. You should remain steady under time pressure and be flexible and adaptive to changes, given the rapid pace of information and new developments.
What we are looking for
You must have a tertiary qualification, preferably in Mass Communications or Social Sciences (e.g., Political Science, International Relations, Psychology, Economics), with at least 10 years' working experience in a related field. Being a good team player with strong interpersonal skills is essential. Having a strong foundational knowledge of information systems, data analytics methodologies, and the overarching intelligence processes is beneficial. Possession of strong leadership ability, good analytical skills, and writing proficiency is essential. Having a good awareness of Singapore's political, defence and security developments, as well as current affairs and the regional and international media environment, is advantageous.
