What the role is

You are responsible for MINDEF/SAF’s online and web presence, primarily through the MINDEF corporate website and sub-sites. You will work as part of a team to transform raw content into highly usable and effective websites. In addition, you are responsible for daily website operations, maintenance, and performance of selected MINDEF/SAF websites, including reporting and liaising with key stakeholders.

What you will be working on

You project manage web projects, including sizing up project requirements, identifying and engaging stakeholders, sourcing for content, and monitoring progress. You design specific and measurable project and campaign assessment metrics to provide clear and objective assessments of outcomes. You are also responsible for reviewing, updating, designing and creating web content that is platform appropriate and in sync with the preferences and attitudes of target audiences. Your challenges lie in staying abreast of the latest digital and online trends, having a keen interest in digital media and technology, accurately sensing the digital media environment and audience needs, and reinventing web engagement strategies, as well as possessing strong critical thinking skills and developing medium to long-term web engagement strategies aligned with organisational objectives.

What we are looking for

You must have a tertiary qualification, preferably in the field of Web Development/Management, Computer Science, Information Technology (IT), Information Systems, Interactive Media Design, or any relevant field. Having at least 2 years' relevant work experience in internet publishing, digital communications, website design, website management and/or the media industry is advantageous. Having knowledge of and skill sets related to WYSIWYG web editing software, HTML/XML, Java Script, web programming languages, cloud technology, or content management systems is useful. Possession of good command of both spoken and written English is essential. Appointment will be commensurate with your experience. (Applicants with no experience may apply.)
