What the role is

You are the main interface with knowledge partners to identify thematic Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR)-related topics, conduct research and analysis to develop knowledge and information products.

What you will be working on

You are also the conduit to identify and invite credible speakers or panellists to support organised events or academic sessions to enhance the professional value of Regional Humanitarian Coordination Centre events.

What we are looking for

You must have a tertiary qualification, preferably a postgraduate degree with relevant knowledge in non-traditional security and humanitarian studies, with at least 6 years' relevant experience. Previous academic experience with research is preferred. Having experience in publications is advantageous. You should have a strong command of written and spoken English, and proficiency in a second language will be an advantage. You must possess the ability to conduct research independently and/or work with other researchers to validate research hypotheses. You should be able to curate research outcomes and present them effectively to the target audience. You must be able to carry yourself professionally when dealing with both internal and external stakeholders. Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
