What the role is

You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) Learning Management System. Your role includes monitoring system performance, collating end-user feedback and ensuring system readiness and end-user satisfaction whilst establishing policies to govern system development, deployment and utilisation.

What you will be working on

- Oversee daily operations of the SAF Learning Management System to ensure reliability, availability and optimal performance across all operational environments - Establish comprehensive policies to govern learning management system development, deployment and utilisation in alignment with organisational requirements - Monitor system performance metrics and collate end-user feedback to ensure optimal system operations, system readiness and end-user satisfaction levels - Supervise and manage support staff including Information Warfare Formation personnel to ensure quality of user interactions and service delivery standards - Manage Learning Device Lifecycle from procurement through deployment to retirement, ensuring optimal resource utilisation and performance throughout the device lifespan - Develop and implement operational procedures and standards to maintain consistent system performance and user experience - Coordinate system updates, maintenance schedules and deployment activities to minimise operational disruption whilst maximising system effectiveness Challenge(s) - Understanding MINDEF/SAF's core intent and policies to effectively integrate ever-changing technologies and pedagogies into SAF's learning and training ecosystem - Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to seek out and forge strategic partnerships that advance SAF's enterprise learning systems capabilities - Constantly keeping abreast of industry standards and best practices to provide effective leadership and advisory support to MINDEF/SAF - Understanding and abiding by IT Security, Zoning and Corporate IT Architectural security requirements and policies as specified by MINDEF/SAF whilst maintaining operational efficiency

What we are looking for

- Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Education Technology, or related fields - At least 6 years of working experience in system operations, learning platforms (Learning Management Systems) and cloud services - Experience in managing stakeholders and cross-functional teams with demonstrated ability to coordinate across different organisational units - Strong understanding of learning management systems architecture, functionality and operational best practices - Knowledge of cloud services and modern technology platforms with ability to adapt to evolving technological landscapes - Experience in staff supervision and team management with ability to ensure quality service delivery and user interactions - Understanding of IT security frameworks, zoning policies and corporate architectural requirements in government or military environmentsis advantageous - Knowledge of device lifecycle management processes and best practices for technology asset management - Excellent analytical skills with ability to monitor system performance and translate technical metrics into actionable operational insights - Strong communication and partnership development skills with ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
