You are responsible for driving MINDEF's interests on defence budget matters, supporting the Resource Management Department (RMD) to manage the defence budget and manpower resources in MINDEF/SAF.

What you will be working on
- Drive MINDEF's position on defence budget matters in engagements with Ministry of Finance (MOF) and other key stakeholders
- Review and advise management on the appropriate defence investment mix to ensure resources are allocated optimally in support of MINDEF/SAF's strategic objectives
- Design and implement frameworks and policies that strengthen MINDEF/SAF's budget planning and management processes
- Apply data analytics and visualisation tools to support budget reviews and provide actionable insights to management
- Work closely with key stakeholders to ensure continued public and government support for the Defence Budget
Challenge(s)
- Advancing MINDEF/SAF's interests in negotiations and engagements while maintaining a Whole-of-Government perspective
- Developing a strong appreciation of the complexities of military requirements
- Balancing competing strategic needs against resource constraints
What we are looking for
- Education in Business, Finance, Accountancy, or Economics is preferred
- At least 1 year of working experience in a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- A positive attitude and willingness to take initiative
