What the role is
What you will be working on
• Undertake projects on review and formulation of academic policies, in consultation with relevant stakeholders
• Perform secretariat related tasks for committee/meetings/projects on academic policy matters including vetting of minutes, training of staff in the preparation of agenda and recording of minutes, reviewing of relevant documents, and coordinating with various stakeholders
• Plan, design, and deliver professional development programs that enhance the teaching effectiveness of academic staff, focusing on active learning, learner-centric approaches, and blended learning strategies.
• Lead and conduct research projects related to teaching and learning and use research findings to inform the design and improvement of teaching strategies and practices.
• Provide guidance to Schools on academic policy matters, and perform tasks related to academic services as required
• Conduct policy evaluation studies to assess the effectiveness of academic policies and recommend improvements based on data and stakeholder feedback.
What we are looking for
• Relevant qualification with at least 3-5 years years of relevant working experience in academic policy work, academic research and educational staff developer in an educational institution
• Possess relevant experience in secretariat duties
• Excellent communication (both spoken and written) and interpersonal skills
• Meticulous with good analytical and critical thinking skills, positive work attitude and excellent time management skills
• Able to work both independently and in a team, and manage multiple tasks/projects within the same time period
