What the role is

You will be part of a dynamic team supporting the analysis of seized drug samples submitted by law enforcement agencies. You will be assisting in routine laboratory operation, quality assurance, investigation and research activities with the objective of providing reliable and efficient forensic services to meet the investigative and needs of the criminal justice system.

What you will be working on

Key responsibilities include but not limited to: • To assist in sample preparation and instrumental analysis on drug samples submitted by the law enforcement agencies. • Operate various laboratory equipment and processing of instrumental results. • To participate in investigation and research projects/method development pertaining to illicit drugs of abuse. • Be part of the team to ensure the quality assurance in the laboratory

What we are looking for

• Background in chemistry or related field • Experience working in a laboratory with experience in operating analytical equipment such as LC, GCMS and IR will be favorable. • Meticulous with passion for analytical work • Innovative and strong critical thinking • A team player with positive attitude who can work well independently and proactively • Able to commit for at least 11 months
