The officer's key responsibilities are to manage and administer the MPA tendering and quotation process which includes calling, evaluation and award of tenders and quotations which are centralised in P&A. The officer will also provide procurement advice to line departments and they will serve as Business Partners to these departments. In addition, the officer is required to review and ensure that MPA procurement procedures are relevant and updated, while assessing MOF's or relevant government agencies guidelines and providing recommendation for compliance in MPA. The officer will also administer bulk contracts to achieve economies of scale such as insurance policies and be involved in budgeting process for the department. The officer is also required to drive or co-drive procurement-related IT systems such as e-Procurement system, Robotic Process Automation and Cumulus/Workday.

What the role is
The officer will be part of the team to manage and administer the procurement of goods and services through tenders or quotations in MPA, and assist to review policies and procedures for areas pertaining to procurement to ensure that MPA adheres to three key principles of procurement in Government IM i.e. transparency, open and fair competition and value-for-money.
