Manager (Data Analyst – Goods & Services Tax Division)
What the role is

What you will be working on
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to design and develop new compliance tools and initiatives.
- Prepare and analyse data, as well as develop and maintain analytics models to understand taxpayer segments, predict behaviours, detect fraud and non-compliance, and develop intervention measures for GST compliance.
- Leverage Large Language Models-based tools to build AI products for use in the division's operations and compliance work through prototyping, experimentation, and iterative improvement to deliver impactful, user-centric outcomes.
- Develop interactive dashboards that support reporting and performance monitoring.
- Provide basic training on the application of analytical tools to end-user officers.
- Facilitate data sharing with internal and external stakeholders, working closely to understand and fulfil data requirements, and adhering to the data governance framework.
- Review and operationalise data policies and procedures to comply with relevant guidelines and frameworks.
What we are looking for
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline. Computer Science, Data Analytics or Statistics-related fields are preferred.
- Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a logical and organised approach to handling and analysing information.
- Inquisitive mindset with the ability to question, probe, and analyse data effectively.
- Resourcefulness and the ability to work independently in a team environment.
