What the role is
What you will be working on
Temasek Culinary Academy (TCA), in collaboration with the Culinary Institute of America (CIA), offers hands-on food and beverage training where students gain practical experience serving the public. During the upcoming modules, dishwashers will assist with stewarding duties to support kitchen operations at Sugarloaf Café (weekday lunch, 26 Aug – 3 Oct 2025) and Top Table Restaurant (lunch Tue–Thu, dinner Fri–Sat, 26 Aug – 11 Nov 2025).
Key Responsibilities:
• Washing of cutleries, cookware, dishes, pots, and pans.
• Disposing of trash regularly and appropriately.
• Maintaining cleanliness of the area of work.
• Sweeping and mopping kitchen floors.
• Supporting kitchen staff with basic cleaning and stewarding duties as required.
• Following all food safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
• Complying with health and safety standards in the workplace.
What we are looking for
- Able to commit to working in the evenings on Friday and Saturday nights and lunch hour during weekday from Monday to Friday (from August to November 2025).
- Able to operate and maintain cleaning equipment.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Basic understanding of hygiene and food safety standards.
