What the role is
What you will be working on
Plant propagation techniques for Species Recovery Programme
Experimental propagation, monitoring and documentation of native stock plants from seeds, cuttings and grafting
Collection of plant material from nature areas of Singapore for identification and propagation
Manage plant inventory and issuance at the Native Plant Centre
Field surveys and data collection of naturally occurring native plants
What we are looking for
Area of study in Biology, Environmental Sciences, Life Sciences, or related disciplines
Keen interest in nursery work, field work and plant identification; Experience and skills in these areas will be an advantage
Strong interest in the flora of Singapore and conservation
Able to work independently and multi-task in performing a diverse range of duties
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) with good writing skills
Willing to work after office hours and during weekends and public holidays for events and outreach activities when required
Only shortlisted candidates will be notified. Successful candidate will be offered an 11-month employment contract.
