What you will be working on

You will develop strategies, policies and programmes to strengthen workplace safety and health ─ thus reducing workplace injuries, promoting good mental and physical workforce health, and ensuring adequate financial protection in the case of work injuries. You will have the opportunity to: • Review policies and legislations such as Workplace Safety and Health Act and Work Injury Compensation Act. This includes working on legislative amendments and drafting parliamentary speeches for the bills to be passed. • Work with other government agencies, unions, industry associations, non-government organisations, employers, supervisors and employees to develop effective workplace safety and health initiatives. This includes supporting employees’ mental well-being at workplaces, a growing area of concern. • Study overseas best practices for workplace safety and health and work injury compensation, that can be considered to advance Singapore’s workplace safety and health outcomes and work injury compensation framework.

What we are looking for

• Strong analytical skills with ability to analyse data and drive meaningful insights through story boarding and visualisation • Strong writing skills with ability to put forth clear policy considerations and recommendations • Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to manage multiple projects and work independently/collaboratively as required • Good team player with effective interpersonal skills and ability to build good relationships with stakeholders • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment PWDs are welcome to apply
