As the Manager for WICD, you be part of the team working with a diverse group of stakeholders such as platform companies and labour movement (NTUC) in the development of processes and implementation of the Work Injury Compensation Act (WICA) involving platform workers.

What the role is
What you will be working on
• Develop claim processes to operationalise policies and legislations for platform workers’ work injury compensation claims.
• Provide guidance or preside over pre-hearing conference to resolve disputes on exceptional scenarios.
• Work with different stakeholders such as Taxi, Private-Hire Car Operators, Food / Goods Delivery Companies, associations (National Private Hire Vehicles Association and National Delivery Champions) and NTUC to ensure smooth implementation of WICA cover for platform workers,
• Prepare outreach and communication materials.
• Attend to queries on platform workers’ claims via email, telephone, written correspondences, and meetings where necessary.
• Work with internal stakeholders within MOM in replying to media enquiries.
• Perform the role of liaising with vendor on the enhancement of the IT system to process claims for platform workers.
• Handle queries from insurers on system related issues.
What we are looking for
• At least two to three years of experience involving customer service (frontline experience), operational work.
• Having computer language knowledge (e.g. Java/.Net), understand database knowledge (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server) and/or experience in handling system request issues is advantageous.
• Having legal and regulatory background, and/or knowledge of general insurance concepts/underwriting is advantageous.
• The job holder needs have in-depth knowledge of the Work Injury Compensation Act, as well as other legislations governed by MOM.
• Strong people skills to drive collaboration across internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Ability to condense complex and multi-factorial issues into clear and concise content.
