The Public Health & Surveillance branch within the Medical Policy Department in ACE Group drives policies in relation to public health, care, systems, enablers and clinical quality for migrant workers as well as co-ordinates across internal and external stakeholders on policy translation.
You will work closely with the Ministry of Health, divisions within Ministry of Manpower and departments within ACE Group to develop evidence-based public health policies, epidemiological analysis to drive prompt public health interventions, and provide public health consultancy to other departments within the ACE Group. The incumbent will also provide oversight to ensure that policies and interventions remain up to date and are continuously reviewed for its efficacy to ensure appropriate public health outcomes for migrant workers.

What you will be working on
• Develop data-driven, evidence-based public health policies to protect the health of migrant workers
• Conduct epidemiological and surveillance analysis and sense making to improve response plans for public health incidents and infectious disease outbreaks
• Work closely with stakeholders such as Communicable Disease Agency, MOH, NEA to implement public health interventions to strengthen the healthcare resilience in response to infectious diseases and outbreaks
• Work with WOG agencies in strengthening pandemic preparedness plans
• Update evidence and align with international best practices, supported by research and innovation, to improve public health surveillance and response for the migrant worker system
• Provide public health consultancy to stakeholders
What we are looking for
• Experience with working in a healthcare setting, preferably involved in the development of health/healthcare services strategy, policy and implementations
• Experience with public health and infectious disease surveillance related work including policy development and implementation, data tools and analysis, would be an advantage
• Post-graduate or dedicated training/courses in public health and related disciplines would be an advantage
• Cope well when working under pressure
• Strong leadership skills, able to multi-task, analytical, good project management skills
• Strong crisis communications skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
