What the role is

The officer will be part of a team working with both government and private organisations to meet national interests.

What you will be working on

These tasks include formulation of contingency plans to mitigate peacetime crisis and emerging risks brought forth by climate change and hazards from the use of new energy sources such as green fuels. The roles and responsibilities will also include review of our MPA Crisis Management framework and contingency plans, and conducting regular crisis management exercises to validate WoG ops readiness and coordinated responsiveness. He/She will also be required to support EP systems’ capability development, knowledge management of EP information, operational readiness, as well as training and exercises planning and evaluation.

What we are looking for

  • At least 5 years of experience in developing emergency plans and exercise planning,

  • Past experience in the shipping, logistics or supply chain industry will be an added advantage

  • Highly driven, organized, able to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong analytical, writing, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team

  • Successful candidates will be offered a 2-year contract in the first instance and may be considered for an extension or be placed on a permanent appointment.
