The appointee will assume a full suite of accounting responsibilities pertaining to the Continuing Education and Training (CET) operations and be involved in payroll accounting. The appointee will also provide administrative support for the Audit Committee meeting. Subject to performance and operational needs, the appointee may also have opportunities to be rotated to other roles subsequently within the Finance Department.

What you will be working on

Responsibilities:-

  • Assume operational role in CET which includes submitting e-invoices, preparing receipts and refunds and any other works which may arise from the daily CET operations
  • Assume reporting role in CET which includes reviewing accounting entries, preparing reconciliation reports and CET management report, prepare variance analysis for CET performance and liaise with auditors for financial year end audit
  • Prepare payroll related journal entries and reconciliations
  • Liaise with internal/external auditors on payroll-related matters
  • Provide administrative support for Audit Committee Meeting
  • Handle administrative matters which may be assigned from time to time

What we are looking for

Requirements:-

  • Relevant qualifications in Accountancy/Business or equivalent
  • Good communication (written and spoken) and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to influence and engage effectively with various stakeholders
  • Self-driven, able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Team player
  • Meticulous, ability to pay keen attention to details
  • Good knowledge of MS suite of applications (Word and Excel)

Successful candidate will be offered a 2-year contract in the first instance.
