The MTI Academy complements the Trade and Industry Divisions’ work in expanding Singapore’s economic space. You will be expected to develop a deep understanding of trade and industry matters.

What you will be working on
You will work with the MTI Divisions and Firefly agencies to:
(i) Facilitate the building of capabilities and competencies required of MTI officers in trade and industry workstreams (per MTI’s competency frameworks) through various modalities such as courses, seminars, workshops so that our officers can be effective in advancing Singapore’s economic interests.
(ii) Co-organise programmes with international partners to support the MTI Academy’s in-house programmes and those offered in partnership with other ministries and agencies.
(iii) Collaborate with MTI Divisions, with regard to the governance of think-tanks funded by MTI, and ensure that their work supports Singapore’s economic interests.
(iv) Engage relevant public and private stakeholders for the purpose of raising awareness of Singapore’s various economic agreements such as Free Trade Agreements, Digital Economy Agreements, Green Economy Agreements, Carbon-credit Agreements and future low emission strategies such as Hydrogen and Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage.

(ii) Strong analytical and conceptual abilities, with an eye for detail, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
(iii) Excellent written and oral communication skills.
(iv) Self-starter, versatile and adaptable to different environments.
(v) Ability to work well in teams and engage people.
