What you will be working on

This role offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in public sector communications, with a focus on developing skills in media relations, strategic planning, and project management. Working as part of a dynamic team, you will help develop and implement media strategies aimed at raising awareness, understanding, and appreciation for CPF schemes and policies by engaging key media partners. Additionally, you will monitor and analyse media coverage as well as public sentiment to identify potential public relations issues, and provide support for relevant communications efforts. In this role, you will: • Support media monitoring by issuing a daily summary of CPF-related news and updating relevant information for analysis • Assist in day-to-day media requests, and onsite media management for events • Develop compelling story angles for media pitches • Assist with the scheduling of media cultivation sessions • Conduct media research to inform and enhance communication strategies • Support the team with other ad-hoc tasks as required

What we are looking for

While you may not need to meet every requirement fully, having some familiarity or budding expertise in the following areas will help you make the most of this opportunity and succeed with our team. • Pursuing a degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing or a related field • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills in English (bilingual capabilities are advantageous) • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities • Creative mindset with a talent for generating innovative ideas • Proactive and self-motivated; capable of multi-tasking in a dynamic environment • Strong time management skills and meticulous attention to detail • Keen interest in emerging media trends and enthusiasm to explore new communication platforms Position is on a full-time basis for a period of 1 year from Jan 2025 to Jan 2026. We are also open to six-month tenures (Jan to Jun 2025, May to Oct 2025, or Aug 2025 to Jan 2026).
