We are seeking a motivated, inquisitive, and forward-thinking Technical Executive to join our dynamic Advanced Manufacturing team. In this critical role, you will collaborate with industry partners to design and implement innovative solutions that advance digital transformation initiatives. You will also oversee the seamless operation of state-of-the-art facilities at the Advanced Manufacturing Centre (SP-AMC), ensure equipment is maintained to the highest standards, and play an active role in supporting and supervising student projects to foster innovation and experiential learning.
Responsibilities:
- Developing mechanical concepts, creating parts and assembly drawings for industry projects.
- Overseeing & execute assembly and evaluation of Industrial Automation Projects.
- Liaising with enterprises for project requirements and follow-up works, working with vendors for fabricated parts/tools/modules, and making purchases for lab equipment and consumables.
- Guiding final-year students in their project works to ensure industry relevancy and learning outcomes.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering.
- Minimum 4 years of related working experience in Mechanical CAD design and Electrical Control for Industrial Automation Projects
- Strong proficiency in CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
- Knowledge of i4.0 technologies, Electrical Control, Programmable Logic Control (PLC), industry standards and regulations
- Independent, self-motivated, positive attitude & analytical.
- Good interpersonal skills and team player to work with minimum supervision.
Successful applicant will be offered a 2-year contract in the first instance.
