What the role is
What you will be working on
Drive manpower development through policy analysis, formulation, and planning for the social service sector to ensure a competent and future-ready workforce, especially for key professions.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct deep-dive analyses and identify gaps and weaknesses in sector manpower with regard to skills, training needs, progression pathways and profession-specific issues.
• Drive and coordinate tripartite discussions between government, academia and industry to ensure that manpower development programmes and initiatives keep pace with the needs of social service agencies.
• Conceptualise and formulate comprehensive jobs and skills strategies.
• Develop/review policies on support for professional and leadership development.
What we are looking for
• Tertiary education in a related discipline, with interest in the social sector.
• Good understanding of Singapore’s social service sector/ landscape would be an advantage.
• Creative, analytical, resourceful and highly motivated.
• Strong systems-thinking and policy development skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills; comfortable working with people of all levels and able to build good collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Effective team player with good team and project management skills
• Ability to translate policy considerations into implementation, balancing strategic policy objectives with practical ground realities.
