Project Title:
Designing and developing UI/UX and / or Minimal Viable Products (MPV) for potential new digital products and eServices for MOM-ACE Group
Project Overview:
The internship involves designing and developing UI/UX and / or Minimal Viable Products (MVP) for potential new digital products and eServices for MOM-ACE Group. For example, developing IT solutions for recognizing and rewarding MWs usage for FWMOMCare app, improving inventory management digitally, and developing a UI regression testing tool for MOM's FWMOMcare mobile app, effective and efficient management of training data, as well as the application of large language model AI tools. The ideal candidate should have a STEM background, demonstrated ability to build software and provide solutions, and take the initiative to make things happen. The intern will be exposed to a portfolio of potential initiatives (detailed below), and the (subset) breadth and depth can be worked out based on the intern's skills/knowledge and organizational needs at the point of commencement.

What the role is
What you will be working on
Portfolio of initiatives (intern choose to select subset / portfolio to concentrate on):
Designing and developing high fidelity UI/UX for ACE's potential new digital products and eServices (possibly to deploy as Minimal Viable product), for example, via Figma (https://www.figma.com/) and https://dxplus.mom.gov.sg/.
Developing IT solution(s)/Minimal Viable Product(s) for:
A program to recognize, reward, and engender Migrant Workers' usage for an app designated for them, and meaningful footfall in recreational centers. This may involve using tools and orchestrating relevant eServices (such as Figma, https://loyaltysurf.io/, https://www.open.gov.sg/ tools, Zapier, and others that can connect to it).
Inventory management: This may involve orchestrating relevant eServices (such as Zapier, https://www.open.gov.sg/ tools, and others that can connect to it) with the intent of improving inventory management digitally for relevant MOM workstreams.
Regression testing: Regression testing is important in ensuring high-quality bug-free application releases. However, it may be manpower-intensive and repetitive. The scope involves developing tool(s) with the intent of automating this work for MOM's mobile app(s) and eService(s).
Effective and efficient management of Training Data: Manage training data more effectively and efficiently, which comes from different sources and continues to grow each month. The goal is to automate the process to churn out training data seamlessly each month, enabling the Cap Dev Team and individual branches to track officers' Training Roadmap status effectively and plug developmental gaps.
Artificial Intelligence: Discovering and co-creating use cases to further engender the application of large language models and tools (e.g., https://products.open.gov.sg/pair) in MOM-ACE.
What we are looking for
Background in STEM, preferably the areas of Computing Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering
