1. Review, execute and manage work processes
2. Administrate legislative submission requirements for Written Approval / Trade Effluent Scheme / General Waste Collection disposal permit applications
3. Plan and execute surveillance and enforcement programme to ensure factories and eating establishments comply to legislations; Programme include assess risk profile of factory and inspection intervals, perform inspections on factory, lead investigation work into non-compliance, and factory engagement, etc.
4. Review and propose amendments to legislations to address emerging needs
5. Plan and execute source tracing exercises to illegal dischargers and ambushes on suspected dischargers
6. Plan and execute engagement programme to raise awareness and education to industries and other stakeholders on trade effluent discharge
7. Build manpower competence and technologies capability to enhance existing surveillance and enforcement programme
8. Plan, review, execute and manage procurement contracts and technological projects
9. Work with other Branches to resolve public feedback cases involving illegal discharge into sewers and grease encrustations causing flow impediment issues

• Bachelor’s in Engineering (Civil, Environmental, Mechanical and Electrical as well as other relevant disciplines)
• Fit and able to work outdoors/carry out site work
• Proficient in MS Office Applications
• Confident with IT systems, new technologies, and data analysis
• Possess Class 3 or 3A driving licence
• Independent, result-oriented and self-driven team player
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Possess a positive, can-do attitude
• Be able to respond to urgent situations outside normal working hours on short notice
