What the role is
What you will be working on
Key Responsibilities:
i. Develop and execute digital transformation and AI plans aligned with business objectives
ii. Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation across departments
iii. Implementing digital and AI solutions and managing change
iv. Evaluate and recommend new technologies and digital tools to enhance business operations
v. Collaborate with ITD and business divisions to ensure seamless integration of digital and AI solutions
vi. Monitor and report on the progress and impact of digital and AI transformation initiatives
vii. Develop and deliver training programmes to upskill staff in digital and AI competencies
viii. Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to inform strategic decisions
What we are looking for
*Key Competencies*
• [Data Collection]: Collect, validate and integrate data from one or more sources of data to ensure maximum efficiency of the process and accuracy of the collected data.
• [Exploration Analysis]: Explore and analyse work on datasets using modern analysis tools and modern programming methodologies to discover insights.
• [Charts & Dashboards]: Develop data visualisation from standalone graphs and charts on to highly customised tools and apps while tightly integrated to the data systems for real time visualisation of information.
*Work Experience / Personal Traits*
• Preferably be familiar with public service transformation, innovation and organisational development work in public service sector
• Preferably at least 2 years of experience in digital and AI transformation, change management, or similar roles
• Strong understanding of digital technologies and their business applications
• Proven track record of successfully implementing digital transformation initiatives
• Be able to translate ideas into strategies and action plans.
• Be resourceful and able to identify and tap on, or seek resources, to implement action plans.
• Excellent writing, communication and presentation skills
• Strong planning, organisational, and interpersonal skills
• Be a results-orientated, highly self-motivated and resilient person
While officers are hired for specific roles within the division at the start, officers have the opportunity to work in different or multiple sections within the division, taking into consideration the officers’ competencies and development needs, as well as the needs of the division.
Successful candidates will be appointed on a 1-year contract in the first instance, subject to renewal.
