At MSE and our family of agencies – PUB, NEA, and SFA – we drive sustainability and resilience initiatives that improve the everyday lives of Singaporeans. As part of the MSE Family, you will be at the forefront of innovation, leading efforts to safeguard water resources, protect public health, and ensure food safety. Through partnerships across sectors, we tackle evolving challenges while fostering an inclusive, safe, and supportive workplace.
Join us in shaping Singapore’s sustainable future and making a lasting impact on the everyday lives of generations to come.
Singapore’s food security is ensured through a multi-pronged approach that includes import source diversification, raising local production and stockpiling of essential foods. As food security challenges heighten worldwide, it is key that we continue to ensure that Singapore food security and safety regimes remain robust.
Apart from securing our food supply, we ensure that the food is safe to eat. Food safety covers a broad range of issues from farm-to-fork, from produce grown in farms to food that is served at your favourite hawker centre and coffeeshop. With new food innovations such as alternative proteins and an ever-evolving food eco-system increasingly dependent on new technologies (e.g. online sale of food, food deliveries, blockchain for food traceability systems), we have to look ahead of the curve to ensure that our policies and strategies are ready to deal with such complexities. We work alongside industry partners and citizens to promote joint responsibility on food safety.
