What the role is

You will work with a team of psychologists to use psychological principles, tools, and operational research to meet various assessment objectives and organizational needs.

What you will be working on

You will apply scientific principles and methodology to design psychological assessment frameworks, research studies, and screening tools. You will be conducting literature reviews, co-ordinating processes related to data collection, cleaning, and analysis, as well as running psychometric screening operations. You will also provide support in developing new capabilities, research efforts, operations, engagements with stakeholders and providing consultations.

What we are looking for

You should have a tertiary education in Psychology. You should have solid foundations in independent research, scientific methodology and research design, as well as data analyses and interpretation (with a focus on quantitative data). You should also be adept in analytical and critical thinking, possess strong writing and verbal communication skills, and be a good team player.

About Military Security Department

The Military Security Department (MSD)’s core business is in Counter Intelligence and internal security for MINDEF/SAF. MSD was formed in 1975 to counter the threats of espionage, subversion and sabotage against MINDEF/SAF. It began with two main entities, namely the Counter Intelligence Branch (CIB) and Field Security Branch (FSB). Over the years, the department has continued to evolve and our roles expanded in tandem with the changing security environment. Today, our roles also include Counter Terrorism and Cyber Security.
