AI Research Program Management Strategist

The Internal Security Department (ISD) confronts and addresses threats to Singapore’s internal security and stability. • Translate operational objectives into technical capabilities requirements • Decompose required technical capabilities into smaller research problem statements • Identify strategic AI & technology domains of interest and engage domain experts to assess the level of technology readiness and resources required to tackle the research problem statements • Plan and secure resources (manpower, budget, infrastructure, etc.) required to execute the research projects • Identify potential project risks and develop risk mitigation strategies • Engage partners with relevant expertise and carry out negotiations to define technical scope of work, deliverables and timelines for research projects • Recommend undertaking of research projects based on the assessed potential outcomes against its costs and risks • Establish and manage contracts for the research projects • Develop and maintain systematic processes for tracking project progress and budget utilization for the research programs/projects • Collaborate and consult with researchers to review progress of the projects and make recommendations on appropriate methodologies to be employed that will lead to fulfilment of operational objectives What we offer: • Opportunities for advanced training and professional development, including attending leading overseas conferences and courses • A collaborative and dynamic work environment with a team of highly technical and motivated colleagues • A chance to work on challenging, diverse, and unique problem statements that have a direct impact on national security

• Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Statistics or equivalent competencies • At least 4 years of experience in project management or equivalent competencies • Inquisitive, self-motivated, resourceful, meticulous and enjoys challenges • Excellent communication skills, report writing and knowledge management • Excellent understanding of mathematical, statistical and analytical concepts, computer science and artificial intelligence • Ability to keep the overarching objectives of the project/program in mind while pursuing the technical details • Passionate about research management and problem solving • Hands-on experience in data science, AI and quantitative research is preferred • Only Singaporeans need apply We wish to inform that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
