What the role is

You will lead a dynamic team to design, develop and implement the organisation's digital landscape masterplan. You will also spearhead cyber governance efforts by promulgating internal IT and cyber policies and generating analytical reports to guide systems enhancements and data management efforts. You will also provide guidance to the team on the strategies and methodologies for effective budget management.

What you will be working on

You will lead new and ongoing teams, and provide strategic directions for digitalisation, digital climate analysis and opportunity identification. You will evaluate digital policies and standards for governing digital systems and data, and provide insights to strengthen the overall security posture. You will also update management on the digital budget portfolio and provide suggestions on budget marksmanship through visualisation reports.

What we are looking for

You should have a Bachelor Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related fields. You need to have at least 6 years of relevant working experience. You need to be clear-minded to strategise how to achieve organisational goals whilst keeping an eye on the policies and guidelines. You should possess outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written. You need to be proactive in keeping up-to-date with organisational policies, as well as enjoy keeping abreast of digital and cybersecurity trends. Additionally, you need to be meticulous and detail-oriented when handling budget portfolios. You should be team-oriented with the ability to work independently when required.

About Military Security Department

The Military Security Department (MSD)’s core business is in Counter Intelligence and internal security for MINDEF/SAF. MSD was formed in 1975 to counter the threats of espionage, subversion and sabotage against MINDEF/SAF. It began with two main entities, namely the Counter Intelligence Branch (CIB) and Field Security Branch (FSB). Over the years, the department has continued to evolve and our roles expanded in tandem with the changing security environment. Today, our roles also include Counter Terrorism and Cyber Security.
