What the role is

As a member of the workflow improvement and validation team, you will play a critical role in providing support for the integration of automation into the laboratory. You will implement and troubleshoot automated processes, ensuring the successful incorporation of automation into our laboratory procedures. You will have the opportunity to design and plan experiments, validate processes, and conduct data analysis with a strong emphasis on statistical analysis.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Develop and execute validation protocols for automation systems and processes to ensure they are operating within specifications and are robust against errors
  • Design and execute experiments using automated DNA workflows
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols and regulatory requirements
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation systems and processes
  • Manage project timelines and budgets related to validation of automated processes
  • Report writing and presentation of research outcome
  • Writing of SOPs and protocols
  • Create documentation and training plans for laboratory staff on the use of automated processes
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for automation systems and processes

Job Requirements:

  • Background in Biology/ Life Sciences
  • Previous experience in automation of lab processes and validation work would be an advantage
  • Good understanding of statistical method and experienced in statistical software (e.g SPSS) in Life Sciences setting
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Meticulous and strong critical thinking skills
  • Collaborative team player and able to work independently
