What the role is

You will be required to : • Take charge and manage complaints on planning infringements carry out investigations • Prepare inspection and investigation reports, evaluate the planning offence committed and recommend enforcement actions to take • Document evidence collected including taking statements as part of investigations and provide testimony in court when necessary • Administer enforcement notices and composition fines were necessary • Provide guidance to offenders on compliance requirements, appeals process and the exercise of statutory powers under Planning Act • Coordinate with other government agencies to carry out joint enforcement work • Coordinate and liaise with community partners e.g. Condo MCSTs, Managing Agents on collaborative enforcement

What we are looking for

• A polytechnic diploma in civil/structural engineering, mechanical/electrical engineering, architecture, building or such other relevant field. In the alternative, candidates without a diploma should possess at least 3 years of experience in enforcement related work. • Minimum 3 years working experience in enforcement related work • Good analytical, writing, presentation and communication skills • Good investigation skills, have eyes for details and self-driven • Ability to work independently as well as in a team is a must
