What the role is

The candidate will be part of a team which drives publicity for MPA and Maritime Singapore. He/ She will strategize, develop, and execute a wide range of communication plans and activities to promote Singapore as a premier global hub port and an international maritime centre, and to advance and safeguard Singapore’s strategic interests. These include media cultivation, crisis communication, drafting of media statements, speeches, talking points and Q&As, organising media briefings, pitching feature stories, news monitoring and more. He/ She should also have a good understanding of the local media landscape.

Fresh graduates may apply

He/ She must also be a team player who possesses excellent interpersonal and strong oral and writing skills, and is able to handle pressure under tight deadlines.

"The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) was established on 2 February 1996, with the mission to develop Singapore as a premier global hub port and international maritime centre (IMC), and to advance and safeguard Singapore's strategic maritime interests. MPA is the driving force behind Singapore's port and maritime development, taking on the roles of Port Authority, Port Regulator, Port Planner, IMC Champion, and National Maritime Representative. MPA partners the industry and other agencies to enhance safety, security and environmental protection in our port waters, facilitate port operations and growth, expand the cluster of maritime ancillary services, and promote maritime R&D and manpower development."
