• Plan and prepare for scheduled inspection so that public accountants selected for detailed review, and SSQC 1 elements to
focus on have been appropriately considered and potential issues are covered
• Conduct firm-wide inspections in assessing the firm’s compliance with SSQC 1, and inspections of the individual public accountant’s work to ensure compliance with prescribed auditing standards
• Ensure that the inspection methodology remains relevant, effective and responsive - Provide inputs to the risk rating
analysis (i.e. peer rating exercise) of audit firms after the firm wide inspection to identify issues and facilitate their risk
management; and population of the Risk-based assessment for each firm
• Conduct/Participate in other ad hoc projects in ensuring that ACRA’s regulatory framework for the accountancy sector
remains relevant, effective and response to developments in the environment

What you will be working on
What we are looking for
• Professional Qualification / Certification preferably in Accountancy
• At least 10 years of external audit experience in a public accounting firm
• Familiar with Singapore Standard on Quality Control 1 and Singapore Standards on Auditing Demonstrates technical
competency in financial reporting and auditing standards with the ability to identify, apply, resolve or report on complex
accounting or auditing issues during the course of work, effective in drawing from professional experience to perform
inspection or investigation work
• Strong analytical skills to distil all available facts and bring to focus discussions on key issues
• Good knowledge of the various requirement / provisions of professional standards / regulations
• Good project management skills and the ability to work within stipulated timelines
• Excellent stakeholder management and organisational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work independently and as a team player
