What the role is

You will join AGD’s Financial Reporting (FR) Directorate to help in financial reporting and related systems enhancements, users support and review of processes and policies.

What you will be working on

You will be involved in the following: • Lead the billing and accounts receivable and bank reconciliation modules of the Government financial system • Plan and execute improvements and upgrades to the assigned NFS@Gov modules to improve user experience • Provide timely support to users for helpdesk tickets in accordance with AGD-wide service-level KPIs • Conduct periodic reviews of processes and policies to strengthen financial controls or support finance policy directions • Streamline work processes through the implementation of automation such as using programming language, automation tools and problem-solving skills to increase work efficiency and productivity, and keep abreast of latest developments in technology to assess potential use cases in automation projects • Ensure the timely completion of year-end financial closing activities, such as annual audit of Government title deeds and share certificates, confirmation of balances of government agencies’ deposit accounts held with AGD • Perform the loading of the annual and supplementary budgets on a timely basis in NFS@Gov to avail Ministries of budgets for spending • Participate in ongoing projects such as implementation of the Whole-of-Government chart of accounts (WOG COA) for Ministries • Work with fellow Assistant Directors in FR to manage a team of Executives/Senior Executives within FR

What we are looking for

Functional/Technical Competencies • Tertiary education in Accountancy • At least 3 years of relevant working experience and knowledge in accounting and dealing with financial systems such as system enhancements and project migration etc. • Excellent numeracy and writing skills with high proficiency in using Microsoft Excel • Flexibility and willingness to participate actively in various projects • Ability to provide sound analysis and recommendations on issues to senior management for decision making • Experience in financial and management reporting is a plus • Good knowledge of automation skillsets like RPA and coding skills Generic Competencies • Meticulous and good time management skills • Able to work independently and multi-task with minimal supervision • Team-player with positive working attitude and a strong mindset for learning and growth • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and good communication and interpersonal skills • Proactive in partnering with stakeholders on projects implementation or problem resolution You will be notified whether you have been shortlisted within 4 weeks from the closing date of this job posting.
