What the role is
What you will be working on
Your key responsibilities include:
• Monitoring and analysing global developments and assessing their implications on Singapore’s sustainability and environmental policies.
• Formulating strategies and policy responses to advance Singapore’s international interests in environment, water, and food.
• Representing Singapore at bilateral and multilateral platforms on environment, water, and food to advance and safeguard our interests.
• Profiling Singapore’s sustainability and environmental credentials at international meetings to showcase thought-leadership and create mindshare.
• Planning and supporting the participation of Singapore’s political office holders and senior officials at high-level international meetings.
• Facilitating and curating visits by foreign VIPs.
What we are looking for
• Strong interest in sustainability and environmental issues.
• Tertiary qualifications with 1 - 5 years of working experience;
• Applicants with no experience may apply;
• Strong writing, communication and analytical skills, including ability to present complex issues in a clear and concise manner to different audiences;
• Proficiency in a foreign language to manage stakeholders from North Asian countries;
• Resilient in working in a fast-paced environment, including ability to adapt to changing situations and circumstances;
• Possess initiative, problem solving skills and able to work independently;
• Willingness to travel.
