What the role is
What you will be working on
You will be part of a dynamic team responsible for the management of protracted neighbour disputes. The work involves interviewing residents, gathering evidence and enforcement actions. You will have the opportunity to work closely with other Government agencies, Town Councils, community partners and grassroots organisations. As the management of these neighbour disputes could take time, you will need to possess the passion and determination to go the distance with various stakeholders, and help the community achieve win-win outcomes.

• [Investigating and Gathering Evidence] - You investigate potential violations by collecting and analysing all evidence while considering facts of the case, and with an appreciation of privacy laws, security standards, and regulations that are relevant to your work. You ensure all evidence related to the case are appropriately obtained, documented, processed, and stored in accordance with agency policy and procedures to support case resolution.
• [Balancing Service with Authority] - You deliver enforcement in a firm but tactful manner that safeguards the interests of the public, agency, and officers. You collaborate with other agencies to strike a balance between balancing whole-of-government enforcement outcomes and empathy when working on cross-cutting enforcement issues.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
• Tertiary qualifications in any discipline.
• Work experiences in investigation and enforcement roles within the Singapore Government.
• Command of spoken English plus at least one vernacular language (Malay, Mandarin or Tamil). Command of local dialects is a bonus.
• Strong inter-personal and communication skills, passionate about engaging stakeholders, sensitive to public needs and able to think from the layperson’s perspective.
• Team player who takes initiative, is curious about what is happening in our neighbourhoods, and have keen analytical abilities.
