What the role is
What you will be working on
On this, you work with the line units and the respective Unit Safety Officers (USO) to promote open reporting and to investigate safety incidents. also supervise the development of safety officers and function as the Command’s primary interface with the Digital and Intelligence Service (DIS) Safety Inspectorate. Your challenge lies in being familiar and experienced with safety matters in the SAF, industry and governmental bodies to ensure that the Command is at the leading edge of safe practices. You must be able to navigate the SAF and DIS organisational network with ease to establish new working relationships and enhance existing processes. You also need to be conversant with data analysis with good writing and presentation skills.
What we are looking for
You must have a tertiary qualification, with at least 6 years' working experience, of which at least 3 years in safety or equivalent aspects. Having qualifications in Workplace Safety or equivalent field or being qualified ISO 45001:2018 Lead Auditor with an Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (Level B) or its equivalent is preferred but not mandatory.
