The Policy & Governance branch oversees strategic IT planning and ICT policy and governance for PUB. It is responsible for the driving PUB’s digital transformation strategy, establishing policies and processes to ensure alignment between PUB’s digital initiatives and organisational goals, and ensuring good governance of PUB’s ICT systems.
The role involves:
• Reviewing PUB’s digitalisation strategy and developing plans/ processes to drive initiatives that align with strategic goals
• Collaborating with business and technical stakeholders to review business cases, performance outcomes and post-implementation reviews of digital projects
• Developing and implementing governance processes and frameworks in alignment with WOG directions (e.g. IM8) and PUB’s strategic needs
• Developing/reviewing processes and tools (e.g. data collection workflows, dashboards) to maintain oversight of PUB’s digital project portfolio from end-to-end (i.e. budgeting, implementation, compliance, decommissioning)
• Monitoring key digitalisation metrics and reporting progress at various internal and inter-agency platforms

What you will be working on
What we are looking for
• At least 2 years of experience in the IT/Tech domain, strategic planning, policy/governance or change management, preferably in the public sector
• Have a good appreciation of the general digital technology landscape and practical implementation issues
• Ability to take a broad and strategic perspective to source opportunities for digitalisation, and drill down systematically to analyse and identify specific pain-points/problem statements
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with collaborative approach towards fostering alignment and problem-solving with stakeholders
• Good writing and communication skills
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and as a team player
• Comfortable with managing ambiguity and resourceful in solving problems
• Able to conduct quantitative analysis using tools such as Power Query, VBA and Qlik Sense will be am advantage.
• Good understanding of government IT policies/standards will be an advantage.
