What the role is
What you will be working on
Some of the key roles played by the officer are:
•
Drive strategy development through analytical thinkpieces, with a focus on thematic issues that cut across the whole of the economy.
•
Coordinate and set the agenda for Whole-of-Government economic work and MTI senior management discussions
•
Oversee and ensure coherence of our economic narratives, e.g. Singapore Economy 2030
•
Analyse Singapore’s economic competitiveness, identify emerging issues that impact our strategies and, where necessary, make recommendations on alternative courses of action to senior management.
•
Engage policy divisions and other foresight units through dialogue and joint projects. This involves having an appreciation of policy divisions’ and other foresight units’ priorities in order to build and maintain collaborative relationships.
•
Translate strategies into internal and external communications products.
•
Organise engagement platforms and events, primarily for MTI and government stakeholders.
