What the role is

Sector Strategy and Master Planning (SMP) develops sdevelops sector strategies to tackle emerging issues, plans the longer-term structure of services and infrastructure, and oversees the account management of key Social Service Agencies to support service delivery. The Master Planning team under SMP oversees the development of a sector masterplan that outlines the envisaged structure of services and providers, key strategies to enable the sustainable delivery of services, and plans for longer-term resourcing needs.

What you will be working on

The team lead and officer will work with MSF divisions, National Council of Social Service (NCSS), and other agencies to review and develop a medium to longer-term plan of how MSF’s key services should evolve to better address social needs. This includes strengthening the way services and network of providers are organised, and the strategies to support sustainable and effective delivery of services. Specifically, the team: • Oversees the master planning process in MSF where SSD works with divisions to identify key trends and key longer-term shifts to strengthen the organisation of services and ensure more sustainable and effective delivery of services. • Works with divisions on their major reviews of services and how best to organise providers for better coordinated and integrated delivery at the sub-sector level. • Stitches together sub sector plans and concurrently develops a sector masterplan that outlines the envisaged structure of services, focusing on MSF-funded services, and how providers will be better organised, and the approach to implementation; • Works with divisions to plan engagements with the sector and resourcing requirements needed to drive the master plan.

• Strong analytical, written and communication skills • Excellent stakeholder management skills with an ability to communicate, rally together and work effectively with multiple internal and external stakeholders • Strong project management skills • Knowledge of the landscape of social services and providers will be an added advantage
