We are seeking a skilled Assistant Manager in Financial Reporting to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a range of financial reporting tasks, including, and not limited to, day-to-day budget operations, month-end and year-end closing activities, budget utilisation, accounts reconciliation, and audit schedule review. Additionally, this role involves business partnering with various Schools and Department and preparing financials to management.

What you will be working on

Responsibilities:-

  • Manage daily budget operations

  • Liaise with internal and/or external stakeholders on budget operation matters and financial reporting

  • Prepare statutory submissions or attend to requests from government agencies as necessary

  • Prepare financial and management reports

  • Possess analytical skills and able to problem solve work issues across functional areas independently

  • Ability to identify opportunities for process improvements

  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and compliance with policies, and accounting standards.

  • Undertake other ad-hoc projects or duties as assigned.

What we are looking for

Requirements:-

  • Qualification in Accountancy or its related disciplines, with at least 6 years of relevant experience in financial and/or management reporting

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external teams

  • Good written and oral communication skills

  • Good analytical and critical thinking abilities

  • Independent team player who is organised, confident and adaptable to changing environment

  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Experience with Workday system would be advantageous

Successful candidate will be offered a 2-year contract in the first instance.
