What the role is

You will be part of a dynamic team to shape and develop a vibrant and growing cybersecurity ecosystem in Singapore. Your mission will be to strengthen Singapore’s cybersecurity capabilities through formulating strategies, planning new initiatives, and working with partners to grow the cybersecurity industry for national security and economic benefits In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of stakeholders including government agencies, institutes of higher learning, business associations, venture capitalists as well as cybersecurity companies. You will partner with the national CyberSG Talent, Innovation and Growth Collaboration Centre (TIG Centre) to drive cybersecurity innovation, and bolster Singapore’s reputation as a trusted digital hub to advance cybersecurity as an economic driver for Singapore.

What you will be working on

Responsibilities • Develop and implement programmes, to grow and scale cybersecurity startups and companies in Singapore, • Work with the TIG Centre to develop, conceptualise, and actualise strategic partnerships with external stakeholders from the industry, academia, and industry associations. • Monitor approved programmes under the TIG Centre to ensure that the desired outcomes are met. This includes monitoring of budget utilisation, review of performance indicators, and managing disbursement of programme grants. • Be the focal point for effective alignment and communication with partners and the TIG Centre. This includes capturing meeting notes/actions, driving action items to closure, and providing timely and regular updates to management. • Build relationships and work collaboratively with venture capital and investment firms, with the goal of helping local cybersecurity companies raise funds and grow their business. • Keep abreast of best-of-breed innovation programmes for cybersecurity globally and translate such best practices into strategies and initiatives for implementation in Singapore.

What we are looking for

Requirements • Qualification(s) in Business, Economics, Communication or Computer Science. • More than 8 years of relevant working experience, preferably in in enterprise development, public policy, or programme / research management • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking, with the ability to distil and summarise complex issues to propose potential solutions • Excellent writing, planning and coordination skills, with meticulous follow-through • Strong budget management • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage a range of internal and external stakeholders across all seniority levels.
