What the role is
What you will be working on
You will be part of the National Electric Vehicle Centre (NEVC) under LTA’s Technology and Industry Development Group. The NEVC facilitates EV adoption through efforts to spearhead the regulation and deployment of EV charging systems in Singapore.
You will play an integral role in the team developing regulatory policies and framework to ensure the safety, reliability and accessibility of EV charging services. You will also support the administration of the licensing regime for EV charging operators – a key policy tool to shape the development of the EV charging industry – as part of the division’s overall work in implementing regulations under the Electric Vehicles Charging Act (EVCA).You will be working closely with stakeholders to ensure that operators comply with the conditions of licensing, and to take appropriate action against any non-compliance. You will contribute to achieving the outcomes of ensuring safety, managing operational constraints, and being business-friendly.

What we are looking for
•Tertiary qualifications in any discipline
•Be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; you may be required to work on multiple initiatives in the same period
•Strong writing and presentation skills, with an eye for details
•At least 5 years’ experience in regulatory policy or operations, such as regulating licensees or use of banned products.
•Ability to translate regulatory requirements into operational needs, and recommend effective and efficient use of regulatory resources
•Able to work collaboratively in a cross functional team, and with various stakeholders such as companies and other government agencies
•Interest and basic knowledge in electrical systems and electric vehicle charging systems will be advantageous
