What the role is
What you will be working on
On this, you lead in the architecting network alterations to achieve federation goals between cyber ranges and play crucial role in the exercise network design and creation. You are also responsible for the cyber range infrastructure for exercises, as well as close collaboration with stakeholders to create realistic network environments. You provide technical leadership for building virtual exercise networks using hypervisor and virtualisation solutions (e.g. EXSi, VMware), and manage and maintain the cyber range computer infrastructure. Your challenges lie in having a strong understanding of cyber security and network engineering, as well as staying abreast of new technology developments such as the cloud. You need to work closely with the respective stakeholders, Critical Information Instructure (CII) agencies, academies and/or organisations to understand the technical and operational characteristics of the various networks in order to be able to create similar network environment to support for the different realistic exercises for MINDEF/SAF, Whole-of-Government (WoG) and local/international partners.
What we are looking for
You must have a tertiary qualification in Computer Networking, Computer Science, or Cyber-related disciplines or related professional qualifications/certifications, with at least 10 years' working experience in IT and cyber environment. Having ""hands-on-keyboard"" experience and certifications in relevant fields of computing, networking and cyber security is advantageous. Possession of strong technical ability in IT and OT Networks and System methodologies, including a strong knowledge of network analysis fundamentals and robust troubleshooting skills, is essential. Having prior experience in cyber fundamentals and/or work in a cyber-environment is required.
